The goal of the Substance Use Disorder Prevention Program is to decrease underage drinking, tobacco & e-cigarette use, and to raise awareness of the risks associated with Substance Use.

Provide Substance Use Prevention education to students in area schools
Provided one-on-one screening and education on Vaping to students/youth referred by schools or parents -
Co-facilitate the Huron County Suicide Prevention Coalition

Co-facilitate the Huron County Recovery & Prevention Roundtable Coalition

Coordinate Everyone for Prevention (E4P) – a youth driven coalition consisting of area high school students

Collaborate with schools for completion of MiPHY (Michigan Profile for Healthy Youth) survey

Provide Vendor Education to Tobacco Retailers in Huron County

Conduct tobacco compliance checks in Huron County with Youth Decoy as guided by the State.
