Substance Use Disorder Prevention Program

The goal of the Substance Use Disorder Prevention Program is to decrease underage drinking, tobacco & e-cigarette use, and to raise awareness of the risks associated with Substance Use.

​

  • Provide Substance Use Prevention education to students in area schools
    Provided one-on-one screening and education on Vaping to students/youth referred by schools or parents

  • Co-facilitate the Huron County Suicide Prevention Coalition

  • Co-facilitate the Huron County Recovery & Prevention Roundtable Coalition

  • Coordinate Everyone for Prevention (E4P) – a youth driven coalition consisting of area high school students

  • Collaborate with schools for completion of MiPHY (Michigan Profile for Healthy Youth) survey

  • Provide Vendor Education to Tobacco Retailers in Huron County

  • Conduct tobacco compliance checks in Huron County with Youth Decoy as guided by the State.
