Maternal Infant Health Program

The Maternal Infant Health Program (formally titled the MSS/ISS program) is available to help pregnant women and infants who are Medicaid recipients and may be at risk for serious health problems due to psychosocial or nutritional problems.  This program is intended to supplement regular medical care by providing support and to assist the client's health care provider in management of client's health and well-being.

The focus of the Maternal Infant Health Program (MIHP) is the family.  MIHP services include such things as assessment, counseling, health education, transportation needs, client advocacy and care coordination.  These services are provided by a multidisciplinary team which includes a registered nurse, registered dietician, and social work.
