The Family Mentor Program is a home visiting program for expectant moms and children ages 0 - 5 living in Huron County who have been identified to be at-risk. Home visits are conducted using Nurturing Skills for Families Curriculum which allows the Family Mentor to focus on the family's individual needs while maintaining the course of nurturing parenting. While providing home visit, the Family Mentor will assist families in parenting management and support, increase positive parenting strategies and provide effective stress management tools.

Increasing Family's Independence.
Hours of Service
Monday through Friday - 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon and 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Eligibility and Cost
Huron County expectant moms and families with children ages 0 - 5 are elgible for the Family Mentor Program. The family must not have an open Protective Service case. There is no cost for the program.
